I stayed for 3 weeks during business trip at a 4-star Catalonia chain hotel in the middle of El Born district. The hotel itself is very clean. Breakfast buffet offers both hot and cold food, AMAZING organic coffee and local pastries plus unlimited access to drinking water. Top floor has an open rooftop bar and a pool (during renovation!) plus gym. The staff is very welcoming, super helpful and professional. They will try to help you enjoy your stay at the hotel (big thanks to Mohammed for huge support with changing the room twice during my stay :)). Make sure to check the photos of the rooms and book the feasible one well in advance - even during low season the hotel seemed full especially during the weekends. I highly recommend staying in one of the rooms facing inner patio (I was very happy with room 302), which will allow you to escape El Born's noise. The average tourist booking this hotel is a middle-age American or German tourist, so no need to worry about noise or disturbance during night time. Close neighborhood offers a wide range of bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, laundries and tourist attractions. I was able to walk almost everywhere with no need for taxis/public transport. The hotel offers renting an e-bike (for a fee). All in all, a bit overpriced, more 3-star, than 4-star hotel, with amazing staff and a very good breakfast buffet! If I were to stay in the neighborhood again, I would definitely book it again.

We were so very happy with EVERYTHING about this place. We had the breakfast one morning and thought it was one of our best meals there. The STAFF were incredible! We had a scary experience in which my husband had to be rushed to the ER one morning with a horrible medical issue - Muhamed at the front desk helped us with getting a cab to take him to the hospital and he continued to check on my husband throughout the whole of our stay. Really everyone was so accomodating, kind and helpful - giving us help with directions to get around and just being plain lovely - huge thank you to also Claudia and Sandra for making us feel at home. We were so happy at this lovely and perfect hotel.

The room allocated to me on the 7th floor was spotless as were the public areas of the hotel. Breakfast was a superb experience, fresh food, fruit, cereals beautifully presented and the dining area meticulous. Though bed and breakfast was on offer, cooked bar meals would be prepared for you in the evening should you request. Beds great, pillows soft, wood effect floor. Extremely helpful reception staff, nothing was too much effort helping me should I have any queries and at my tender old age travelling alone, the knowledge they were there meant a lot. Should I visit Barcelona again, I would certainly stay at this hotel.

The location is great to explore El Born and the Gothic Quarter by foot. We also walked to Segrada Familia and the shopping area in Passeig Grácia is also reachable by foot. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom clean. There were black out curtains available to keep out the light. We felt safe in the area and were two females. Overall we had a great stay. We did not have breakfast in the hotel and unfortunately too little time to enjoy the pool and the lounge area on the roof. Not too much to see from the rooftop in case you are after views.

Hotel is in a good location. Reception staff were very helpful too. Lifts are good - a bit quirky, but good. One covers odd numbers, the other even. If you get on the wrong lift, your fear is that you have a flight of stairs to navigate, but it is actually only three steps. Room was great, to the back of the hotel. Towels changed each day & the shower was always good. Great to have a safe & a fridge in the room too. I had breakfast on two separate days & the selection was good.
